||||||||
|
Good afternoon everyone,
Please find at the bottom of this e-mail the dates/times of upcoming Police Street Surgeries along with the locations I have patrolled over the past few days.
Trentley Road and Icy Conditions
Yesterday (04/01/26) there were road traffic accidents near to the vicinity of the bend on Trentley Road (Pictured above). The roads and pavements are still very icy, particularly in the side streets, so please travel with extra care.
*Clear your windows, mirrors and lights completely of snow and ice before driving. *Never leave your vehicle unattended while defrosting it. *Keep your speed down and allow time to stop and steer. *Whilst driving, keep well back from the road user in front.
Speeding concerns Concerns have been raised regarding the speed that vehicles are travelling along Trentley Road, particularly on the bend (pictured above)- and I am aware that there have been road traffic accidents here over the years. Today (05/01/25) I have contacted Highways, highlighting these concerns and passing on the request from residents for traffic calming measures to be considered here. The reference number for this request was RAH051596.
When driving, adhere to speed limits and take extra caution when meeting bends and turning points. If you know of anyone who travels along Trentley Road, if you could please pass on this advice to them - thank you.
I was also made aware that there was no grit bin near to the bend on Trentley Road, I have requested one, ref number: RAH051590
Should you wish to contact the Council/Highways, this can be done by calling 01782 234 234 or by visiting www.stoke.gov.uk.
Anti-social behaviour (ASB) update – Trentham Lakes We have received further reports of juveniles, knocking and running, along with kicking at doors in the area of Trentham Lakes. I have made some positive progress in trying to ID those involved and these enquiries are continuing. Please continue to log any further issues by calling 101 (non-emergency) or 999 (emergency). Non-emergency incidents can also be reported by visiting www.staffordshire.police.uk . If anyone should have any CCTV or other information that may help my enquiries, please reply to this message, thank you.
